• Grey Towers National Historic Site is the ancestral home of Gifford Pinchot, first director of the United States Forest Service (USFS) and twice elected governor of Pennsylvania. I fell in love with this chateau - and its conical roofed towers at three of the corners give the property its name. This was one of my most tedious of drawings capturing the 3-D appearance of the countless fieldstones. This drawing has a companion: The Bait Box, a cottage playroom built for the Pinchot's son when he was thirteen.
  • Kathleen and her husband are so in love with their classic car the wedding picture of them in it was their favorite. Then they commissioned me to put life into it with this pen and ink rendition.
  • My wife and I used to frequent this place often and affectionately called it "The French." Sometimes a drawing can capture an iconic building that will stand many generations and others are fleeting moment in time as in the case of La Petite Cuisine.
  • My wife and I were strolling in Italy and notice this peaceful spot. Tucked away, it just captured everything about Italy for us. It is a beautiful picture that turned out to be a wonderful example of pen & ink art.
  • Such a wonderful couple. They took this picture as an example of their love for each other. The photographer truly captured the couple's essence in this picture. It was a true joy to work on this piece and to see their eyes light up when it was completed.

For over 20 years, I have been transforming visions into art with pen & ink. I have honed my art through constant practice and experimentation, leveraging different sizes, inks and paper. My love of photography has allowed me to find subjects that capture the mind and take you into the subject. My site is focused on sharing something of my pieces and inviting you into my artistic world. Join me on my journey as I walk through life never believing my glass is more than half full.

Over 75% of the pieces you see on my site were commissioned. If you are interested in having your own piece created, feel free to contact me. I would love to capture that special moment for you!
